"WEEKEND STAR" FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2001 - 23 Toronto Firefighters visit Firefighters to visit local flower shop A Perfect Touch Flowers and Gifts in Uxbridge will be just a lit- tle more perfect today (Dec. 7) as the boys of the Toronto Firefighter Calender 2002 come to town to help raise funds for the burn unit at the Hospital for Sick Children: and the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto in support of cancer research. The very popular cal- ender features many of Toronto's firefighters and some of the "models" will be there to sign calenders for the worthy causes. Calenders sell for $14.99 each and the effort is well timed with dona- tions to the Fishes and Loaves Food Bank gaining visitors to A Perfect Touch an additional discount on store specials. Calender models will be at the store from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and look for- ward to greeting support- ers of all of these worthy causes. For the first time, the calender has been recog- nized as a permanennt part of firefighters funding to burn units and chiul- drens medical causes. The full colour calned- ers show some of Toronto's fittest firemen at various locals around the city. Competition to be included in the photo lay- outs is fierce among city firemen.
