Starting Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. with a bonfire and skating, the party will continue both indoors and out. Skating to the music of Bluejay Sound and riding behind Bran Goslins giant hors- es will fill the evening with fun and adven- ture. : At the end of the night, at 10 p.m., kids and parents alike will be thrilled as fire- works will explode in the cold New Years air over the Fair Grounds. ; The cost is $5 per person bought in . advance, $7 at the door. This includes everyone, except pre-schoolers who enter free. Tickets are available at Sunnyside Market in Casearea, Kathryn's in Nestleton, Penny's in Blackstock and the North Street Office of the Town Hall in Port Perry. Cake and hot chocolate will be served and should put lots of smiles on lots of faces. a This event has been well-attended over the past two years and we are looking for another great bunch of people this year. Bring your family, bring your friends for a fun-filled family event. It is a chance for old residents to catch up on the past year and a great opportunity for families new to the area to get out and meet your new neigh- bours. Every age is represented and is wel- comed at what has become a part of Blackstock New Years tradition. When it is over mom and dad can go to their own party. The best part is that all of the evenings celebrations go to support a good cause. Many may have noticed the large amount of earth being pushed around at the new Cartwright Fields site in Nestleton. Wet weather has put the schedule back again but things will shape up nicely in the spring. This multi-use facility will benefit young and old alike and be a valuable part of our children's future in recreation. It has : been made possible by events like this one. See you New Year's Eve at the Blackstock Arena.
