Ms. Roy, a veteran trustee, was nominated by fellow Whitby trustee and 'former board chair Doug Ross. Her nomina- & d to tion was seconded by Uxbridge-Brock Trustee Nancy Loraine. In her nomination speech, Ms. Roy vowed to continue, "to be as fair as possible in dealing with fellow trustees," in response to comments made earlier by Scugog Trustee Martin Demmers. Mr. Demmers made the comments in his address proposing Pickering Trustee Paul Crawford for the chair's position.
