A hail storm of strictly local nature made a path about 100 feet through Doug Rowe's and neighbours' properties in Prince Albert, Sunday, about 7 p.m. The hail coming down were the size of golf balls and created considerable noise when pounding against the roof, but did no damage. To prove the hail coming down were the size of golf balls, Mr. Rowe placed a "steel helmet" on his head, ran out and picked a dozen or so and put them in the freezer. The picturd was taken Monday afternoon and shows Mr. Rowe, the "helmet" he wore and the enormous size hail. --Photo P.
