At Black And White Show The 34th Ontario County Black and White Show was a tremendous success with perfect weather, a large ring- side and, to quote Judge R. H. Shore, "an extremely fine quality show with no tail- enders". Twenty-five exhi- bitors showed a total of 93 animals. 'Harold Werry & Son (Ron- ald) of Oshawa won the Pre- mier Breeder honours for the first time on a close decision over F. Roy Ormiston, Brook- lin. Ronald Werry took the Premier Exhibitor award Roy Ormiston's Senior and Grand Champion Female, Briarwood Melissa, repeated her win of last year. She was winner of the class for three- and four-year-olds not in milk. The Reserve Senior and Grand Champion, Werr- croft Model Diane, shown by Ronald Werry, is a sharo- shouldered, very dairy-like heifer with wonderful bal- ance and a well attached udder. She was the winning four-year-old in milk. Both the Champion and Reserve Champion are daughters of Roybrook Telstar, whose pro- geny made a very strong showing. Roy Ormiston also had the Junior Champion Female Roybrook Tammy, the first prize senior yearling heifer. The Reserve Junior Champ- jonship went to Frank Bar- key, Claremont, on Altona Lea Ormsby Starlet, the winning heifer calf.
