PORT PERRY x STAR Flamingos Win One, Lose One Flaminge Juveniles Lost to Uxbridge 53, Win at New. castle 2-1, & Traveled to Trenton for Exhibition On Wed. nite the 2nd Dec. Uxbridge visited the Fla. mingos and went home vic- torious for their 2nd win in three encounters. The Fa. mingos opened the scoring & ended the ist period with a 20 lead. Im the secofid Ux- bridge came around & ended the 2nd leading 32. Flamin- go's scored early in the 3rd to tle it up, but missed sev- eral scoring opportunities to a team like Uxbridge you just can't do this. Then on Thursday nite the 3rd the Flamingos travelled to Newcastle for their 2nd en- counter and came home with a 21 victory. This was a shake up game as the coach had Defense PLUMBING and HEATING men up on the wings and wingers playing defense. Newcastle has this year de- cided to play hockey and it's a pleasure to see good hoc- key by all clubs. In Trenton on Sunday nite the 6th of Dec., the Flamin- go boys met a well organized and fast skating Double A team. Trenton set the pace and it was not till the third period that they kept even to hold them only scoring 2 goals. NOVICE -- Keith Real E- tate came back from a two goal deficit and nipped Mal- mont Farms 3-2. Baird scor- ed all three for Keith while Franssen took care of Mal- mont Farm scoring. The 2-2 tie between Scugog Lumber Kings and White Feather Farms was a closely fought battle as were all other gam- es of the day. McIntyre had both for the Flyers while Canning and Fellows scored for Kings. Novice Drop Two Games On Tuesday, December 1, Tripp Novice were hosted by the Brooklin Novice. During the first period the Port boys seemed to have the edge in play, but managed to score only one. on a goal by Tim Kane assisted by Robbie Par- ker. Brooklin were able to net a goal in the second period to tie the score and added the winning goal in the third period to make it a 2 - 1 hoc- key game Friday night brought the League leading. West Rouge team to visit in Port Perry. Both teams played a fast mov ing game. West Rouge opened the scoring in the first period and Port were able to answer this goal during a penalty to West Rouge. The credit for this goal was to Scott Wil bur unassisted. At the end of the second period the score still remained tied 1 - 1 due to excellent net minding by both goal ten- ders.
