WHEREAS The Motorized Snow Vehicles Act, 1968 provides that bylaws may be passed by the Council of a local municipality for regulating, governing or prohibiting the operation of motorized snow vehicles within the municipality. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED and it is hereby enacted by the Council of The Corptration of the Village of Port Perry as follows: 1. No person shall drive a motorized snow vehicle along or across any sidewalk or part of a sidewalk in the municipality. te Amy person may drive a motorized snow vehicle in a park in the municipality except upon the roadways where public vehicular use is prohibited and except in those areas where driving of motorized snow vehicles is prohibited by signs or; posters and where permitted, motorized snow vehicles driven in a park in the municipality shall not be driven in excess of 25 miles per hour No person shall drive a motorized snow vehicle on private property without authority from the owner or occupant of such property. Save and except for Section 3 hereof no person shall drive a motorized snow vehicle on municipal property except where, by means of one or more signs, it is indicated that such driving is authorized. The driver of a motorized snow vehicle may operate the motorized snow vehicles along or across any highway or part of a highway under the jurisdiction of the municipality provided such vehicle is driven as near to the right curb or side of the roadway as the circumstances permit and in accordance with the regulation made under The Motorized Snow Vehicles Act, 1968 prescribing rules for driving motorized snow vehicles upon a highway and requiring compliance herewith. Every person who contravenes any of the provisions of this By-law is guilty of an offence and on summary conviction is liable of a fine of not more than $300.00 (exclusive of costs) for each offence The driver of a motorized snow vehicle, not being the owner is liable to any penalty provided under this by-law and the owner of the motorized snow vehicle is also liable to such penalty unless at the time the offence was committed, the motorized snow vehicle was in the possession of a person other than the owner without the owner's consent. We are planning a bus trip and theatre party in the very near future. \ Cards were sent to the Chartered members and to the sick. Glad to report many of the sick improved and to those who are ill we wish them & speedy recovery. Club pins will soon be available to members.
