It was decided that the de- legates to the Conference an- nual meeting, which is to be held at Kingston on "March Ist and 2nd, would be ap- pointed at the next execu- tive meeting. The executive meeting will be held at Fene- lon Falls United Church on Monday, February 15th at 10 a.m. An invitation from Oak- wood U.C.W. for the 1972 annual meeting was, accepted. Mrs. John Coburn, Treas- urer and Finance chairman, gave a report and asked that all be sure and send her the pink slip, stating the amount of money that was sent to the local finance chairman. Mrs. Gordon Gibson, Liter ature and Publications Sec'y had a good supply of litera ture on display. Mrs. Wellman, Leadership Development chairman, re ported that in the spring some of our women would be trained and they would then .|be available to help local units who desire assistance. Mrs, Roy Hopkins had the roll call by regions, after which the Wilfrid U.C.W. re- ceived and dedicated the of- fering. Mrs. Allen Bursey asked that, as many as could, at- tend the Seminar on Steward- ship to be held on Sunday, February 7th at 2:30 p.m. in Woodville United Church. Mrs. G. H. Palmer brought greetings and introduced the speaker, Mr. David Patterson, youth and program director of Cambridge Street United Church in Lindsay. Mr. Pattérson told of the many changes that have taken place in our society, in par- ticular, events of the sixties such as PreSkient Kennedy's death, heart transplants and Expo 1967. "Youth", he said "ask 2 questions". (1) Who am I? And he said that only in the church and through the scripture can we see our life as a gift and know that we are a child of God. (2) What do I? And the answer -- I can do the will of God. Mrs. B. Miss Vina Neal brought greetings from the Bay of Quinte Conference for Mrs W. H. Seigel, who was un able to attend. The Dept. of Education are asking for eye-glasses, lens or frames. These are to be sent to the children and adults in the Carribbean Islands.
