Motion by Doherty, seconded by Knox, that the village purchase 10,000 gallons of road oil at 6^4 cents a gallon and if purchased after May 8 there is a decline in freight rates which will make it 6 cents a gallon, of the Alden Speares & Sons Oil" Co. Motion carried. President Stoffel appointed Wm. G. Schreiner, Clyde C. Kent and N. H. Petesch to audit the village books. Motion by Krause, seconded by Doherty, that the appointment of the auditing committee be accepted as read. Motion carried. - . Motion by Erickson, seconded by Overton, that the village]board and the board of health look up a suitable place for a dumping place for the village of McHenry. Motion carried. President Stoffel appointed Erickson, Overton and Wattles to canvass the votes of the village election held April 18, 1922. They having canvassed the vote found that Peter Doherty received 347 votes, John R. Knox received 344 votes, Albert Krause received 335 votes for trustees; Wm. G. Schreiner received 259 votes and Floyd E. Thompson received 235 votes for village clerk; Earl Gorman received 45 votes, A. S. Parks received 19 votes, Frank Wattles received 1 vote, Peter M. Justen received 1 vote, John Dreymiller received 1 vote, Jack Walsh received 1 vote, Flossie Cobb received 1 vote, E. E. Bassett received 1 vote, Howard Wattles received 1 vote, H. J. Miller received 1 vote and Win. J. Welch received 1 vote for police magistrate. Motion by Overton, seconded by Erickson, that Peter Doherty, John R. Knox, Albert Krause, Wm. G. Schreiner and Earl Gorman, having received the highest number of votes, be duly elected. Motion carried. Motion by Knox, seconded by Doherty, to adjourn. Motion carried. Simon Stoffel, President. W.
