Rev. Bishop P. J. Muldoon, bishop of Rockford, will be here to take charge of the special services and confer the sacrement upon the members of the class. It has been about four years since the last confirmation was held here. Further particulars regarding the big church event will appear in these colum'ns in next week's issue. The first solemn communion of a large class of boys and girls will take place at St. John's church at nine o'clock next Sunday morning. On account of the special services there will be a slight change in the order of masses for that day. The first mass will take place at 7:30 o'clock while the high mass, during which the children will make their first holy communion, will start at 9:00 o'clock. It is expected that a large congregation will be present to witness the impressive ceremonies. Last Saturday night a number of the Bull Valley people went by invitation to spend the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burkley, who reside about two miles west of Crystal Lake. The Burkley family moved from Bull Valley early last spring. Clara Kaiser commenced attending school at McHenry the first part of March. She had been in first year high school at Wjaejistock all the first part of the school year. Last week she received her report card and was feeling very much pleased as she passed in every branch, she reports.
