A full program to be sure, and each and every one a headliner. A great deal of time and consideration has been given to the selection of these acts for the entertainment of the grand stand crowd during the intermissions between races, and the result is most gratifying to the sfficials as well as all who are interested. _ i<a The Glencoe Sisters in the Highland Laome Review is one off/the prettiest and most complete acts on the entire program. Seldom do acts of this kind find their way on the program of a county fair for they are of the highest class and during the winter season play to vaudeville audiences in some of the largest theatres in the country. There are six girls in the act and some mighty clever dancing, singing^ and instrumental numbers will be presented. They are dressed through part of the act in the Scotch kilties, and novelty numbers will be rendered on the bagpipe and other instruments in more common use. They are recommended very highly and will •ffer something worthwhile. &EYUE •m MADAM BEDINI TRAINED HORSES TO BE FEATURE FREE ATTRACTION HEADLINER WILL INTEREST ANNOUNCEMENTS TO BE MADE THROUGH MAGNOVOX Shumacher of Delavan to Install Apparatus One of the many accommodations which are enjoyed by the patrons of the Walworth county fair, is the "loud speaker" or magnovox which is used from the judges' stand for anouncements and transferred to the stand by HOLD YOUR BREATH This is only one of the stunts which j ing planes in midair, a stunt that is go a long way toward making Ethel | considered to be one of her most Dare and her act a success as far as j dangerous. Watch for his one at the thrills are concerned. In this snap j Walworth county faii^on TUESDAY shot, Miss Dare is in the act of chang- j afternoon only. The program would not be complete without several numbers of humor. Om of these acts, and possibly the test on the program is the cycling experts who ride odd and freakish wheels. They introduce the "Krazzy Kar," a screaming travesty on the trials and tribulations of the modern motorist. . The act carries a large amount of equipment and various machines of mirth will be used. This act is new and original in the line of cycling and will be sure to please. The Great Vulcano, marvel of the world, has a balancing act supreme. He carries a partner who introduces some of the wierdest antics in balancing ever seen on any stage. This set also is direct from a well known vaudeville circuit and it comes highly lecommended. One of the features •f this act occurs when his partner mounts a motorcycle and the Great Tnlcano hoists it above his head, resting a padded bar on his forehead and holds the machine there with arms outstretched; That sounds like a fairy tale, but what would you say if the partner seated on the motorcycle should start the motor and run ft a racing speed while he holds the Machine in that position? That's jkst exactly what happens in this act aad maybe you think he doesn't bring the audience to its feet--well, you will hare to see it to believe it! The Casting Campbells have been known for some time as one of the feest tumbling troupes in the states. Three seasons, as a troupe with the world's greatest circus recommends them to the Walworth county fair sodiences with sufficient arguments that they will be worth while. Some •f the stunts that these four comedy tumblers do would make a hard boiled sailor sea sick. Chi their program electricity. The apparatus was installed by the Schumacher garage of Delavan last year and announc:ee;j nl ents were given into the speaking tiib^ at the judge' stand in a normal voice and the sound was magnified so that all in the stand could hear. There were six horns in use last year and there will be more this year. The vocal soloist with the Holton-Elkhorn band used the apparatus to send his voice to the farthest corners of the atand last year, requiring little effort. There are several but the largest include the Charles Browning freak animal exhibition, Elmore Day reptile show and the Ar- Lovers of Horseflesh Will Appreciate This Trained Troupe of Fine Horses Anyone who is a lover of animal ife, especially horses, will appreciate 'o a high degree, the outstanding feature of the free attraction program, Madam Bedini and her force of trained horses and dogs. Her troupe of trained horses excell anything in this line that the country has known for a number of years. The horses used in the acts are not put through the stunts desired, they GO through the stunts almost without the direction of the trainer. Most of the tricks and stunts are done with the trainer mounted and the, "almost human" lio' ses. seem to know, in fact do know, just what comes next on the program. They seem to get joy out of the acts and the reason for this is evident, for in the training of the animals, the whip was seldom used, which is contrary to the general method of training. They do these acts because they wish to please their trainer and not because the sting of the whip urjres them on. The feature attraction of this act is "JACK MORGAN," a beautiful black gelding which is the favorite of Madam Bedini. This horse was purchased from Dr. Weese, a veterinarian from Arora, 111. At the time the horse was purchased he was vicious and of bad temper. The first few hours of his education were trying ones for his mistress but after several months of patient training the horse was bought to the point where he could be shown with the troupe and due to the kind treatment by all concerned he has climbed to the head of the act and is now known as the {feature. You will appreciate "JACK There is plenty of room to park a large number of cars at the Walworth county fair without the usual; congestion. There is a large field just inside the south gate where most of the cars may be parked in lines and watched by members of the police department. Across the track in the jnew addition to the grounds is another excellent parking space and in I this space you will escape the greatest | crowd. Parking fields will be run by' {individuals outside the gates and a ; charge of 50c is made by them. The Casting Campbells will be seen on the free attraction platform every day of the fair; booklet, containing ads from business men of Walworth county and the race program for each day. The booklet will serve as a souvenir bf the fair also. They will be sold at 45e on the grandstand. • * The stock parade on Friday, the last feature of the fair program will be one of the big features of the week and will close the' fair with a bang. The winning stock will be paraded in front of the grandstand, lead by the Elkhorn Boys' band and the officers of the Agricultural society. More stress has been laid on the stock parade this year than ever before and the result should be wonderful.': > thur Connley athletic show. These three attractions will make the midway one of the liveliest spots on the grounds. The Charles Browning freak animal show plays a great part of the year at the Riverview park in Chicago and this show will present all sorts of freak animals, most of them of the domestic class, dogs, horses, cattle, sheep, cats ancf some fowls. There are many freaks that are interesting as well as instructive as they have been gleaned from a lifelong study of freaks by Mr. Browning. All the animals shown in this tent will be alive; none of this stuffed animal exhibition which resembles a museum. The Elmore Day reptile show carries some fifty odd snakes and alligators. They are all very much alive and the show also carries handlers who will show them off to best advantage. One of-the acts in this show is amusing as well as entertaining when one of the handlers turns a five foot alligator over on its back and put him to sleep by massaging his neck. There are many other items in this exhibition that are fully as entertaining and unusual. The Arthur Connley athletic show is a new and up-to-date boxing and wrestling exhibition. Arthur Connley is the brother of Frankie Connley who showed here last year and whose show will be remembered by many.- Connley was at one time bantum weight champion in the fistic art of the United States and will show how it is done in the thirty foot tent on midiflhere are several other smaller shows on the grounds for next week and many are worth the time of anyone to attend. The J. I. Gage farm machinery company of Racine has taken over- onethird of the entire machinery exhibit spa«e. Their showing of machinery and farm implements this year is the largest they have ever had at any fair. They will show over two hundred different machines and implements. i MORGAN" if you appreciate horses. Another feature horse of the troupe, one that has been with the act longer than "Jack Morgan," but has not been as responsive to the training as the leader, is "GOLD FOX." He ia a handsome chestnut and shows his Kentucky breeding at every point. He is the kind of horse that everyone wants to own. | One horse in the family, "SIDNEY | DICKENSON," boasts of Royal blood j in the horse world. The famous Dan i Patch, known from coast to coast in ! years back, is his own sire and this young offspring is just as sensible as ; his famous parent. He does the | difficult camel stretch, the cake walk, the high trot over hurdles, and the (backward suka a stunt accomplished perfectly only by one horse in a | thousand. Again we are talking in terms unknown to most of us but if these stunts are as pretty and difficult as the names given them, they will be entertaining. "SNOW BALL," a white horse, was purchased from the Artlip Brothers a few years ago and is known for his athletic tendencies. He kicks a foot* ball, jumps the rope, and with Joa Bowers, the preforming clown, a white collie dog, and the bull dog "Patsy," he presents a comic half hour that will bring forth laughter from the audience. A black gelding, "YANKEE DOODLE" and rightfully named, is a Kentucky thoroughbred, which has won many blue ribbons at exhibitions and horse shows, and can do anything that any horse has preformed. That statement takes in a lot of territory and we actually believe what we say but we do not anticipate a competition or a "stump the leader" game with any horse that was raised in this wonderful Walworth county. "PETE," a spotted pony, walks on his hind legs with a monkey hanging on his back. He sits on his hind legs like your pet dog asking for a bone and sits in an armchair. He is not one of the headliners but does his part of the act in good shape adding no small amount of mirth to the occasion. \ •r .jSJSk :
