Miss Agnes Dodge, who has spent the winter with her aunt, Mrs. Lawson, in Nebraska, returned last Wednesday to spend some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Dodge. The Home Circle,will have a picnic this month instead of the regular meeting. The picnic will be at Lake Geneva, including a boat trip. Everybody is invited. Bring your own sandwiches and one dish that may be passed to others. There will be dancing at the^ Fox pavilion on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. E. church services for the month of July and August have been changed to 9:30 a. m. instead of 2:30 p. m. as has been the regular custom nnd Sunday School at 10:30 instead of 1:45 p. m. It is hoped he may improve faster with warmer, dryer weather. A threshing machine meeting was called for June 28, to transact business. No grain is getting ready for the machine. The animal ran from the pasture toward the pony he was ridins throwing Earl from the pony's back and knocking the pony down. Earl ma«ie a get-away under a barbed wire fence. The pony was scratched con siderably on one of its sides. ..." ." Roy Hobart had a similar expei ience with a bull which had been turned out of the barn to get a, drink. It came back "all fight but when it saw the door open at the other end of the barn, ran toward it. Ray picked up a pitch fork with which to defend himself, but the bull lowered h:s head and came toward him. Ray took to hi heels and cleared a woven wire fenc with two barbed wires on top, at on* bound. The happy pair left immediately after the ceremony for a honeymoon trip to Dubuque, Iowa, where they will be the guests of relatives. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Math. B. Adams of Johnsburg and is well and favorably known by a host of friends. --- The groom has made his home at Grass Lake for some time and upon their return will take up their residence there.
