Grover died at her home south of Volo Sunday, Aug. 3. She was about seventy-six years of age and leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three children, Wilfred and Gerald Grover and Mrs. Hughes. She was buried at Belvidere Wednesday. Rev. James officiated at the funeral. At Mud lake, as they used to call it, which runs into Pistakee bay, the road there is about four feet under water in some places. The road has not been used for some time on account of the high water. Working people from Spring Grove and Johnsburg have been taking the road past the Stock farm for some time, which is a farther way to Pistakee Heights. Several of our lady Foresters attended a meeting which was held at McHenry on Monday evening, when the initiating of members from St. Clara and St. Patricia courts of McHenry and St. Agatha court of Johnsburg took place. The four girls that were initiated from here were Misses Dorothy Bauers, Agnes Hettermann, Martha Miller and Alice Freund. Miss Farley of Chicago conducted the initiation in a veiry interesting and instructive manner.
