Mr. Kloepfer reports a very satisfactory business at Grayslake. , ADDITIONAL EXCHANGE William Garms, night watchman at Palatine, went dumb very suddenly last Sunday evening. He lost the sense of speech at about nine o clock that evening and has not been able to talk sftice. He was taken to the Palatine hospital, where he is under observation of a specialist. The third annual mid-summer festival, as sponsored by the American Legion posts of Richmond and Genoa City, Wis., and held at the State Line ( baseball grounds on Thursday> Friday and Saturday evenings 'of last week, was not as well patronized as last year on account of the inclement weather. As the direct result of the two murders committed at Fox Lake during the past two months, States Attorney A. V. Smith of Waukegan last week took steps to stamp out the hangouts of dangerous characters in the Fox Lake region when he closed, by court injunction, the Willis Inn and a resort conducted by James Manning.
