STEWART -at Springfield • McHenry county voters, regardless of party, should informed that there is a Well organized plan on foot to elect two representatives from Lake county this year, thus depriving either McHenry or Boone county of representation in the next legislature. Lake county already has £he senator in the person of Rodney B. Swift, who was re-elected two years ago for a four-year term. The re-election of William F. Weiss from Lake county is conceded by well-informed political observers. Mr. Weiss has the united support of all political factions in Lake county including the solid Voliva vote of Zion. . Charles J. Wightman of Grayslake is the Democratic candidate for the legislature. Mr. Wightman is well known and popular in Lake county and will doubtless receive thousands of Republican votes in his home county, together with the normal Democratic vote in all three counties. If Mr. Wightman gets enough Republican votes in addition to the normal Democratic vote he will defeat either Roy J. Stewart of McHenry county or N. L. Jaek- Bon of Boone county. McHenry county needs a representative at Springfield. We believe each of the three counties in the district should be represented but with the senator from Lake, that county should not ask for two house members out of three. There is much work to do at Springfield at the combing session. Most important is the matter of building more highways. McHenry county needs representation in order that this county shall not be overlooked in the big road building program which is just ahead of us. In the primary election last spring the vote of McHenry county was divided between several candidates. If every Republican elector in the district would vote the ticket straight there would be no question as to the result, but the plumping system has become the habit and if any considerable number of Lake county voters plump either for Weiss or Wightman or divide equally between them, as is probable from common reports, then McHenry county voters should do the same and plump for Mr. Stewart. . Boone county is the smallest in the district, but Boone county voters have been trained to stand loyally by the Boone county candidate. With the help of McHenry county Boonthcounty has always elected its candidate. In the coming election it will be wise for McHenry county voters to protect a McHenry county candidate, in order that the present equal division of representation between the three counties may be continued. •Vote for Roy J. Stewart next Tuesday, November 2. \ Unseen Sources 4 Long Life ' The basic sources of automobile value are riot always apparent to the eye. ^ A motor car, like a house, may LOOK a grofct deal more substantial than it really is. Because of this difficulty, more and mom thousands are turning to Dodge Brothers prod-' net for insurance against disappointment. The years have proved, and each year proves anew, that Dodge Brothers are as deeply concerned with the UNSEEN goodness of their motor car as with the seen. The mileage it will deliver, the safety it wjBl provide, the expense and trouble it will save the owner over a period of years, are quite as important to Dodge Brothers as the more obvious details of equipment and style.
