Miss Ammie Francisco is still in a very critical condition. She is some stronger, but has not been able to speak since she was first afflicted on Wednesday, Jan. 26. She has only been able to say no and make an effort with her lips that could not be understood. She hears and understands all that is said to her. The doctor makes daily calls. Mrs. Julia Fleming Shoemaker is nurse at the Francisco home. She has cared for Miss Axnmie since Feb. 3. Henry Shoemaker, who is doing farm work for Fred Eppel, called on his mother, .Sunday. Myron Francisco and wife of Wauconda motored up one day last week to call on the former's sister. Mrs. Kaiser and daughter, Anna, were in Woodstock, Saturday, where Miss Anna is having dental work done. The road is open now down past the Wallis farm. The rural mail carrier drove through last week ob Thursday, the fifrst trip since the snow, but there is another obstruction. large pond of water covers the road making driving dangerous for strangers. The rural carrier from Woodstock passes that way every day and he said the water was up to the running board of his car. The road is very low and narrow at that place and it is feared someone will meet with disaster there. Steve Hautfinger, who has lived the past year on the farm formerly owned by George Thomas, has rented a farm up toward Ringwood, owned Hy the Carey estate, and will move there March 1.
