R. held their regular meeting on Tuesday afternoon at the Woodman halL The commander In chief, Mrs. Gertrude Lewis McNeil, of Kenosha, Wis., was guest of honor at this meeting; and other guests were: Mrs. Abby Chandler, department commander, from Waukegan and Mrs. Isabel Hanson of Waukegan. Mrs. Gertrude Lewis McNeil and Mrs. Chandler gave interesting talks which were much enjoyed by those present, and received gifts. Ice cream and wafers were served. The state convention of the Daughters of the G. A. R. will be held at Decatur on May 16, 17 and 18 and to this convention each fortress will send delegates. Royal Entertainers The Royal Entertainers met at the home of Mrs. M. Bohr last Thursday evening, at which time several games of five hundred were played. First prize was won by Mrs. Ben Hiller, second prize by Mrs. Mat Freund, and third prize by Mlrs. M. Bohr and the consolation went to Mrs. Jake Shaefer. Delicious refreshments were served at the close of a pleasant evening. The next meeting will be at the "home of Mrs. Jesse Wormley, West Side Bunco Club The members of the West Side Bunco club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Emma Freund Monday even ing.
