'ri-dy discussed the re­ port at length and read the statute in such cases m i le and provided, and moved the following amendment to said report t«»-wit: That the chair­ man appoint a committee of three to mt'et at Mclleurv on Monday Jan. 3rd. to examine the bridge iu process of construction, also the contract made bv the commissioners of said town with the bridge company and asertain if the town niithoiitieg have complied with the requirements of the fetatnte iu their acts with relation to said bridge so aft to entitle them to the aid prayed for by the road commissioners of Mclleurv.
