The SsMiiliy County Pain Believing the time has come for our prosperous county to marshal her forces toward making this county fair the greatest yet held. It behooves every man woman and child to formu late some plan whereby each one can do something towards it. It is not necessary to introduce personally those who are at the helm. Suffice It to 4ssy tliey are eacji known to all and worthy of your hearty co-operation. For months great work hss been dftsom plished toward giving one of the best and most attractive programs oflered to the people of Northern III. Among the speakers who will address you will be Seuator Wm. Fvarts of New York, and the Hon. SamM Randall of Perm, one ol the greatest men In the halls of congress. One feature of our Fair Is tlie giand Circuit which has been ar* ranged, including Rockford Aug 31,- Sept. 3; Belvtdere Sept. 7,-10; Wood* stock Sept. 14,-17. Libertyvllle Sept. 21,-24, Waukegan Sept. 27.-Oct, 2 making one of the finest speed circuits In the West. The unfortunate weather of last year, which came very near an nihilating the great work of several months, ought to stimulate our people in giving tba management every en couragement at the!r hands. No one can stand alone In this matter. It is each ones duty to do something to push forward to greater laurels the McHenry County Fair. It has done more good in many wsys towards ce menting cordial relations among thousands than all other combined. It has placed our county foremost far and near. It lias been the means of creating great Interest in all kinds of stock, which can be seen on every hand. It has attracted the most emi nent men cf our land, towards the fer tile valleys of northern Illinois. It has advertised our Couaty sujh ss all ought to feel proud of, and yet there is still a greater success beyond and we propose to capture It, If hard work and experience will accomplish It. and wc must admit never oefore had the msnagement a brighter prospuct. Owing to the sympathy extended In last reasons bad luck (the weather) we are entitled to It as all will adm it. Our Premium list la Cat and revised In all Its departments and Is worthy of your perusal. It offers great Induce ments to the youog and old. snd we desire every department full. The early spring has placed your stock In proper condition to develop Into size and form. Stock will thrive as the vine groweth and blossom Into grester fields of u«efullne8s. Thousands are waiting the opening of the McHenry grand exposition, whereby they csn select from the various clashes on ex hibition. We could name parties who received demands last season for stock which was seen at the Fair. Therefore let no breeder say It does no good to show his stock at the County Fair. On the contrary every one has been bene fitted by it. People came here for that purpose from many miles, and why* because they know McHetiry Co. is famous for fine stock. Every rear new breeders blossom out like mother earth In spring and each oi e adds a golden link to McHenry Co. Now who has nddressed you In the past? who have traveled In foreign lands, have stated no country In the world cat compete with Northern III. and South em Wis In all matters; ought we not to feel proud? Now let us show the prominent men, who will be here from the east this season what agriculture is. Let the youn{ people think of this. It Is only a question of time when you will be compelled to stand the burden oi this work and push the county to grearter laurels In history, It may appear early to some to attract at ten don now in the coming Fair, yet It Is only a short time, four months! to work and now is the time to select out such stock as y<iu-think best. A little extra care will do you no harm and bring you no doubt worlds of comfort. We have our Short-Horns. Ilerfords Polled Angus, Red Polled, Holstelns, Jerseys, Ayershlre, Devons, Guernsey and grades In countless numbers. Horses of all kinds, swine, sheep and poultry in plenty and In fact every thing to fill up every nook and corner on the grounds. What more? Thous ands of ladles to deoorate and beautify the halls. Now let us have It done. As we have stated before glye us assistance, let those who have sub scribed special premiums come for ward and make them known and the management will carry out the balance and give you a program mo which will pletse you and attract the whole land.
