L. SHEPARD, Teaoher. WE are Indebted to a friend in the west part of the village for tbe follow ing items of local interest: REV. H. E. WTCKOFF, in bis Sunday morning service made the statement that the Bible was all trutb or all a lie. If the latter, it should be banished irom our homes as It accused us of ter rible things. II a truth, we should ao- cept it and live by it. THANKSGIVING services wore well attended considering the Inclemency of the weather. Rev. Mr. Slade ren dered a very able discourse. THE prayer meeting to have been held in the I. O. G. T. Hall, on Friday evening was a failure, on account of tbe ball not being lighted or heated. Jt was a great disappointment to tbese who came from tbe extreme portions of the town on such an un pleasant evening. IT IS earnestly desired that all in terested in S, 3. work will meet at tbe M. E, parsonage on Friday evening where an hour is spent in studying and preparing the lesson. All teach ers are especially requested to attend. WE notice the M. E. choir bas ao quired tbe valuable assistance of Mrs. Allen Walsti as leading soprano, aud Mrs, Hioman as alto. A good choir is an attractive and helpful element In church services. IT is expected that no one will fall to attend the Memorial Services of John B. Finch to be held in the Uni versalist church next Sunday evening. THE Sunday School concert at the Methodist church last Sunday night was a success in every particular. The happy children were greeted by a largo and appreciative audience, to whom they owe no small degree of thanks. All manifested much pleasure in seeing the bright faces.of the little ones, aud listening to their carefully prepared speeches wbieb are deserv ing of much praise. The music was by no means tbe least attractive fea ture of tbe entertainment, consisting of songs by the school and other ap propriate vocal selections. Tbese concerts are given uot only as an ele ment In tbe Education of tbe children but to bring parents and friends to a realization of tbe progress and devel opment attained In tbe S. S. Tbe children and young people deserve much credit and should they announce another concert we feel assured that the people will inspire and encourage them by their presence and hearty Kood will. If you want a lamp of any kind« at bottoofi price go to Besley's. FARM FOR SALE. Tbe undersigned oiers for sale his farm consisting of 114 acres, situated near Wauconda village.
