Well, to begin with, we bad a tery nice trip, and saw sights far beyond ! any man's description. Nothing won* derful, however, until we got to the Bad Lands of Dakota, which are In the western part of the territory. Then the Rocky Mountains, and He tunnel (which took us kvt minutes to go through), and then the Cascades, We arrived in Tacom& the 24th of November, and from there took the steam boat up the Souod about 38 miles to see onr brother "Pera.*' We found him O. K., fat and happy, and I stayed with him a week In the woods; then I came back to Tacoma, where I am at work in a store and do ing well Tacoma Is a very busy town and is located very beautifully on Puget's Sound. It is on the side of a hill, and going west from the Sound is like climbing a flight of stairs, uslsg the streets for steps, so you see there Is a good deal of walking between the steps. There fl a great deal of bnild- inc going on here. They use lumber mostly;some brick, the poorest I ever saw. One of the MgHenry brick would break a whole kiln of them, There U ail kinds of business {lone here and the stores cary one stock ex clusively, no general stores, and every and any kind of a building that Is at all suitable for business, is occupied. Tacoma Is the muddiest town I ever saw, and no wonder, for It rains about fifteen times a week, yet It is golDg to be one of the largest towns on the Pa cific Coast. Real estate is booming. I like the climate here very much. It is not cold and raw as damp weather la In Illinois. The grasB is nice, and green and the flowers are still In bloom. I have not been in the least home sick, for I am 'with friends, Kimball Bros., who have the largest stock of sporting goods in Tacoma. Hopiag ibis will let m| friends know I am all Wright, v f I Remain Respectfully, .-j:' • TJris r. Sufferers are not generally aware that these diseases are contagious, or that they are due to the presence of living parasites in the lining membrane of the nose and eus tachian tubes. Microscopic research, how ever, has proved this to be a fact and the result is that a simple remedy has been for mulated whereby catarrh, catarrhal deafness and hay fever are permanently cured In from one to three simple applications made at home by the patient once in two weeks. N. B.--For catarrhal discharges peculiar to fen^ales (whites) this remedy is a specific. A pamphlet explaining this new treatment Is sent on receipt of ten cents by A. EL DIXON & SON, 304 West King ST, Toronto, Canada.--Scientific American. Sufferers from catarrhal troubles should tead the above carefully. It is mat* by Stot&'ttiiitt ordinary barb wire, tfiere being more than twice the visiole surface presented to the eyes of stock by this wire than by the twisted barb wire, thereby obviating much of the danger of stock running against tins fence. Or Should such a thing by any means occur the contact would be harmless. Have been usin it the past year and am satislla<l that it wii turn stack as well as any barb wire, and _ wonld^ be glad to sell every pound of barb wire that I have got on my place at one-half price Ip fact judging from the damage th»| I have had done to stock In the last throe years, I think I would be the gainer it 1 should give it atvay and replace it with Spar Wire. , Do yon want a fence that Is stronger than any hard-twisted barl' wire, giving the full strength of two wires and yet wtl! go tea to fifteen per cent, farther for aaine number of pounds than any of the four point barb wires?
