RjUKOia 11 ( B 1 k.T. U. Will meet with Mrs, It, Irsday afternoon, June 2, ro o'clock P. M. h. E. BENNETT, President. fAUm. Secretary. , mIiIbWO and the World** Fair. The managers of the World's Fair have a slight obstacle in the way of their arrangement to run liquor saloon and receive a share of the profits. The right has been granted to certain German liqaor men to build a German village on the Midway Plaisanee, 800 feet bj 225 tfie chief feature of which will be Ixr sell j&erman wines and beers. The right has ibeen granted to a Mr. Lynch, of Chicago, to build a Japanese village in which also a chief feature is the sale of spirituous liquors. Each of these schemes is to pay to the exposition company 25 per cdnt of ite gross receipts for liquor sales. But Jkow comes a difficulty. The Midway Plaisanee is in Hyde Park, and the Hyde Park enactments forbid the sale of intox icating drinks upon it. There is also a tate law which prohibits intoxicating iquorafrom being sold or given away Within two miles of any place where an ^agricultural, horticultural or mechanical jfir is held. It has been the custom in (phieago to trample under foot the State Jjfcws which interfered with the iiquor ft-af- ffe, and that can probably be done again, but the Hyde Park enactment is a more aifficult matter. A Chicago daily sayes Ijympathizingly, "Altogether, the direct ors are in a sad plight over the difficulties lirhieli have been developed In the way of 3Bheee two concessions." 11 " tfl ' i*fee Cheapest Breeding farm in imnih,'.: iniif- g Farm in the State, taking Blood* &b4 Individuality into Consideration, Speed, produce, standard by performance, produce.
