Belvidere, HI., Feb. 5, 1901. erited Eczema, as my mother Buffered for years with an incurable form, and 1 had been afflicted with it from childhood to a mild extent. It had annoyed me for several years dur ing the summer months. In April, 1900, the affliction was very pronounced. By the middle of May I was nearly incapac itated for business. In June I suffered to such an extent that 1 could get no rest under any conditions, and the tor ture was undermining my nervous sys tem and reducing physical forces to an alarming extent, and I cannot describe my sufferings. I had employed the best medical skill obtainable, but with no re lief until I began taking Dr. Tallerday's Fruit Juice. Within three days my suf faring began to subside and within three weeks I was much better than I had been during the summer months for years. The continued use of this medi cine completely cured me, removing ev ery symptom of the disease. Have rec OEimended it to others for different blood diseases and all have been bene* Bted by its use. I make this statement purely upon the merits of this remedy, and will be glad to answer any inquiries any sufferer wishes to ask me, if they will enclose stamp for reply. E. J. MUNN. Formed la tbe United States Ml Canada For a Vliit «• tk« PM- Amerlcan Exposition. No one of experience needs to be told how much more pleasant traveling and sightseeing is with agreeable compan ions than all by oneself. There is truth in the saying that "a pleasure shared Is a pleasure doubled." The fact that it is well to know beforehand something of the nature of what is to be seen and how to get about with the smallest loss of valuable time and in* convenience and get intelligent ideas Is equally appreciated by those who have wandered from their own fire sides in search of pleasure. It has been the experience of thousands of visitors to Expositions that loneliness, though in the midst of great crowds, robbed them of much of the enjoyment in store and that by reason of not ac quainting themselves In advance with what was to be seen they missed the things which might have appealed to them strongest. In view of all this, the plan of form* ing travel and study clubs by those who Intend visiting the Pan-American Exposition at Buffalo next Summer which has been adopted in many cities and villages of the United States and Canada may be said to be an excellent one. The membership of these organi sations is composed of people of both •exes and all ages practically. The Objects are pleasant companionship, ar rangements for transportation and ac commodations and an intelligent and comprehensive view and knowledge of the Exposition. The course of study taken up comprehends everything In connection with the trip and tbe Expo- sltion and side trips as welL Among the subjects are the following: Routes and Rates. City of Buffalo. Countries of the Western Hemi sphere and the New Possessions of the United States, (a) Geography, (b) His tory, (c) Resources. Pan-American Exposition, (a) Object, (b) Arrangement of Buildings and (Courts, (c) Meaning of the harmonious architectural, sculptural, floral, horti cultural, fountain and electrical effects, with reference to Illustrating the prog ress of the raee, (d) exhibits, (e) amuse ments. Niagara Falls, (a) Natural Wonders, (b) Power Development Much of the information necessary to this course of study is furnished by the Bureau of Publicity of the Pan- American Exposition, Buffalo, while the remainder is procured by the clubs from Railway and Steamship offices, hotels, information bureaus, libraries and elsewhere. This study at any time would be very interesting and valuable, but "with the prospect of amplifying it with a visit to the Exposition, where the peo ples of the different countries and the, varied resources of the Western Hemi sphere will be assembled, amid splen dors such as were never before pre sented to the sight, the measure is largely increased. The University of Illinois has recently issued a circular in regard to accredited schools. It is published in order to make known to the public, the condi tions under which a high school may have a place on the accredited list of the University. The circular is limited in its immediate application to the smaller schools of the state not yet accredited, and contains a definite description of certain minimum requirements attain able by ttie smaller high schools. It appears that thirty-six credits are required for admission to any college in the University. Those prescribed for all colleges are: Algebra, 4 credits; Plane geometry, 8 credits; English composi tion, 8 credits; English literature, 6 credits; foreign languages, 6credits; his tory, 8 credits; science, 8 credits. Eight more beside these are required according to the college which the applicant wishes to enter. Besides the iiformation in regard to University entrance requirements a number of valuable suggestions are of fered to those in charge of the secondary schools of that state. A complete course of study for the high school is laid out, and mnch valuable advice is given in connection with it. This is followed by a summary of the general conditions which seem essential to the maintaining of an accredited high school. The stomach controls the situation.
