The Fourth of July has come and gone. All of our citizens enjoyed them selves on the Nation's birth day. Some attended the celebration at Woodstock and others at Solon Mills while some saw fit to make the most of the day at home. Cary had all picked men from Chicago, Elgin and various other places and of course had figured the boys easy victims, but none were more surprised than the (so called) Cary team, as they found a very well organized nine and latter on found them master of the field at all times, and after pursuing various tactics to win had to acknowledge de feat, and the "Terra Cotta Specials "left for their respective homes knowing that there was one more yictory added to their long list. E, church Sunday evening. He is assistant secretary of the Y. M. C. A in Chicago. A sad accident, in the drowning of Mr. Paul Weiss of Chicago, occurred at Wauconda Saturday morning. A leaky boat in which Mr. Weiss and brother, Charles, had gone on the lake, sank, carrying the young men, neither of whom could swim, to the bottom. A party of young people who saw the accident rowed immediately to the spot. They rescued the young men and took them to the shore. Everything possi l>le was done to revive them but the older brother had died. The younger returned to consciousness but at this writing lies very ill at the home of Arthur Cooke. Need More Help.
