Such conditions might do in a village not incorporated, bnt certainly look ont of date in a city the size of McHenry. When a village puts a walk in front of a person's property and asks nothing in re turn, that person should be willing ,*t£ keep the walk in sight at least. There are several boys in the village who are greatly'in need of reprimanding and perhaps punishment. They seem to take pleasure in throwing stones at street lamps and at windows in build ings that are not occupied. (From the Sentinel, Gebo, Mont.) In the first opening of Oklahoma to settlers m 1889, the editor of this paper was among the many seekers after for tune who made the big race one fine day in April. During his traveling about and afterwards his Campaign upon his claim, he encountered much bad water, which, together with tne severe heat, gave him a very severe diar rhoea which seemed almost impossible to check, and along in June the case be came so bad he expected to die. One day one of his neighbors bronght him one small bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy as a last hope. A big dose was given him while he was rolling about on the ground in great agony, and in a few minutes the dose was repeated. The good effect of the medicine was soon notioed and with in an hour the patient was taking his first sound sleep for a fortnight. That one little bottle worked a complete cure, fcnd he cannot help but feel grateful. The season for bowel disorder being at hand suggests this item.
