It is a fact, however, that the riots and murders in nearly every instance are caused by the interference of loafers and hoodlums who are not happy unless in a mix-up Many of the more level headed mem bers of the union now on strike in Chi cago are becoming disgusted. Statistics prove that the cost of living has increased 16 per cent, since 1H96. Now wait and hear the rest of the story, Mr. Calamity Howler. Statistics also prove that wages have increased more than twice sixteen per cent. And there is work for everybody. PRESIDENT HARPER of the Chicago University predicts that inside of ten years the high schools throughout the land will have added two more years to their courses and will be giving the first two years of college work. This would be the worst thing that could nappen to the public school system. It is enongh that the high school prepares the stu dent to enter the freshmen class. If there is then more time to be devoted iu the high school it should be spent in re viewing the common branches that pre pare boys and girls for business careers. It is a small percent, of the total number who enter colleges. Doesn't Respect Old Age. It's shameful when youth fails to show proper respect for old age, but just the contrary in the case of Dr King's New Life Pills. They cut off maladies no matter how severe, and ir respective of old age. Dyspepsia, Jaun dice, Fever, Constipation all yield to this perfect Pill. 25c at Julia A. Story's McHenry, G. W.
