It waa jas>ta case of fine base ball Inck and the visitors seemed to be. the more lucky of the two teams. The locals, with Weber, be of the De» Plained Stars, in the box, started the #<Mne at a most lively clip and for the first six innings it-looked as if the county seaters wonld be easy picking. Bnt lock seamed to change to the Wood stock side of the game and front this time on the game became intensly in teresting. When the ninth inning had been reached the score book showed that MeHeary was three points to the good, the score standing 8 to 6 at that- time. The Sex, in baseball, are very much tbe sante as the New York Giants, they fight nntil the last man has been retired. To this they proved true again last Sand*?. Castas tho gatue seemed lost to them they began their upward stride, shoving three runners over the borne plate in the fatal ninth, thereby tying up the scores. The tenth and eleventh innings were played to a tie, bnt in t^e twelfth the county seaters, thru their tremendous hitting, shoved enough runuem over the home plate to win the contest quite handily, the score being 13 to 10. As we were un able to get the soore book in time we are, this wee*, unable to publish the tabulated score and oannot tell the story of the game. JOHNSBUBGH GRAYS LOSE. * The Johnebnrgh Grays lost to the Spring Ghrove-Wilmot team at Wilmot last Sunday. This is the first game the Grays have lost this season, having four games to their credit. While the Grays do not claim that they could have de feated the Spring Grove-Wilmot boys, they do claim that with a fair deal they could have given their opponents a good close game. The Grays will try to get revenge when the Grove boys go to Johnsbargh. For the next four weeks the Grays have games arranged to be played on their home grounds, which will give them a chanoe to make a rec ord for themse}ves. The following is the score by innings of last Sunday's contest: Spring Grove-Wilmot 2 0 2 0 0 8 1 0 x--7 Johnsbargh 00010101 0--9 GAME SVSCt SUNDAY. The Dundee Greens, one of the beat amateur teams in the state, will fur nish the attraction at the West Side ball pack neat Sunday afternoon. The Greens have not been defeated this sea son, which goes to show that they are far from a slow bunch of ball tossers. The local* will present a strong line-no, with Weber of Des Flaines as the slab artist. The Bines are again rounding into form and we predict that next Sun- day's game will.be one of the best ever pulled off in MeHenry. Game called at 2:45 p. m. sharp. General admission, 28 oenta; ladies and- children,̂ 10. cents. NOTES FOR FANS. Weber, the Des Piaines pitcher, was in the box for the locals, and pitched a masterly game. The Dandee Greeas wen from Whea- ton at W he* tan last Sunday by a soore of 11 to 7. Towers, the forawr-MeHenry pitcher, pitched against Jimmy Callahan's Logan Squares in Chicago last Sunday. We understand that J us ten has. won * regular out field position on the team. He will strengthen the out field wonder fully. The- Springfield* Wiseensin, team de feated the Genoa Junction team at Genoa Joaetion las* Sunday by a score of 34 to 3. Anderson, Chicago 's champion skater, covered center field for the Blnee last ^Sunday and did it in a style , that was pleasing to all. Harvard defeated Huntley in a vgell played game at Harvard last Sunday, the soore beings 5> to 4. Only one error was made by the Harvards. Next Thursday afternoon, June 21, the Gray slake married men's team will fee in MeHenry to cross bats with the MoHenry married men. Watch for post- TQ DLAV AMaT.UMk i W«rt Side Teams to Meet Iter Second 0»m«. The East and West Side baaine«a. men's baseball teams will meeb at the West Side ball park this (Thursday) afternoon for the second game of the season. Beth teams hare an idea that they will win, so you can make up your mind that it will be a hard-fm»f?ht game: Since their last game the Easterners have gained a few more points regarding the national game and will surprise their rivals this afternoon. Dr. R. G. Chamberlin wilkaga*a laacb his West Siders to the battle field butr we predict that he will not have as smooth a sailing as he did in the Bret con test, as the Easterners, after sitting up nights for nearly two weeks, have final ly come to the conclusion that the oom- binaUon to his benders has been solved. Everyone go down to the park this afternoon and see for yourself whether they have really solved it or only think they have. Game will be called at 2:80 sharp. The usual home-made rules, as in tht> previous game, will prevail. • Protect Proprietary Med tot nee. Did it evei* occur to you that proprie tary medicines are a blessing to man kind generally? The good ones have long continued sale; the poor ones hav« short life and soon leave the market. If we had to depend entirely upon phy sicians and druggists it would be expen sive and very inconvenient at times, es pecially in the country and at night when neither could be conveniently reached. For nearly forty years Bo- schee's German Syrup has been used in many families, and thousands of lives of ndults and children have been saved by its use, when it was impossible to reach a physician. German Syrup is the best household remedy for coughs, colder throat and lung trouble. It quickly re lieves the hacking cough, loosens the phlegm, and brings sound and refresh ing sleep.
