The enterprise was promoted and financed by Tex Rickard, whose fame as a sportsman is international, and Mr. Rickard secured the only biograph pictures of the event, taken at the ringside by his own force of operators. It would naturally follow that a horde of cheap imitators and" so- called ' 'reproductions," posed for (in the East) by any picked*np white and black duo, would infest the country, but the world-wide renown of Mr. Rickard and his personal ownership and guarantee of the originality of those films is a proof positive of their excellence. The recent differences aired in the press between Billy Nolan, Nelson's manager, and Mr. Rickard have been adjusted by the complete retirement of Mr. Nolan from the field and hia relinquishment of the American rights to the fight pictnres.
