THE HOLD THAT THIS PLAY HAS IN AMERICA IS VERY GREAT, and its reputation is daily increasing. Nor is this to be wondered at, when the most glowing eaconiums possible have been passed upon the play in every circle. IT IS A PLAY WHICH WILL RETAIN ITS POSITION ON THE STAGE FOR YEARS AND YEARS TO COME. In selecting Franee for the action of the play, its emotional style is precisely of the nature to be found in that country. Though very beautiful in many respects, it has some minor faults, yet, AT THE SAME TIME, THE QUICKNESS OF ACTION, AND TELLING CLIMAXES, rivet and please an audience and push aside any im perfections. X DIALOGUE, CHARACTER, INCIDENT all combine to render this drama one of the most powerful, at the same time the most instructive, the stage has to boast. on Weakness Women cannot possibly be strong, while suffering from any of the diseases peculiar to their sex. The Cause of Many Sudden Deaths. disease prevailing in this ous because so decep tive. Many sudden deaths are caused by it heart disease, pneumonia, heart failure or apoplexy 1-- are often the result of kidney disease. If kidney trouble is al lowed to advance the k i d n e y - p o i s o n e d blood will attack the vital organs or the kidneys themselves break down ana waste awaycell by cell. Bladder troubles most always result from a derangement of the kidneys and a cure is obtained quickest by a proper treatment of the kidneys. If you are feeling badly you can make no mistake by taking Dr. Kilmer's Swamp "Root, the great kidney, liver and bladder remedy. It corrects inability to hold urine and scald ing pain in passing it, and overcomes that unpleasant necessity of being compelled to go often during the day, and to get up many times during the night. The mild and the extraordinary effect of Swamp-Root is soon realized. It stands the higfiect for its "won derful cures of the most distressing cases. Swamp-Root is pleasant to take and sold by all druggists in fifty-cent and one-dollar sized bottles. Natural gas bubbling out of the water on the piece of lancl known as Buffalo park about eight miles north of Elgin has attracted the attention of people who have paised the place in boats, or camped on the grounds, says the Elgin Press. In the south end of the property a little cove is filled with the gas, which comes up in huge bubbles as if the wa ter were boiling. The property is own ed by Charles Smith of St. Charles % street, who camps there with his fami ly every bummer. A son of Mr. Smith discovered that the bubbles were caused by gas last year, when he made a gasometer to catch some of the stuff. His apparatus was an old tub with a gas pipe protrud ing thru the center. This he filled with water and turned upside down until the gas had forced the water out of the tub ami-taken its place. Then he re moved the plug from the end of the gas pipe, applied a match and had a good flame for about two hours. While it is not believed that there is enough gas about the place to be of any great mercantile value, still there is considerable, because it bubbles up in the mud all over the water for a consid erable distance. Many people who have noticed the disturbance in the water have wondered over the cause, but have not guessed that it was natural gas. It is probable that some camping party, of which a great number frequent the place, will next year rig up some kind of a gasometer which will catch the gas automatically, thuf affording heat with which to cook their meals. It is a well known fact thai persons living in the pine forests do not suffer from kidney diseases. One dose of Pineules at night usually relieves back ache. 30 days' treatment $1.00. FROM THE FIRST SCENE OF THE PLAY TO THE LAST, all is interesting, all is natural--occurrences, as in real life, give rise to passions; PASSION INSPIRES NEW THOUGHTS, ELEVATES EACH SENTIMENT, EMBELLISHES THE LANGUAGE and renders each act of the production either sweetly pathetic, or extremely sublime. YET THE HIGHEST MERIT OF ANY, IS THE MORAL WHICH THE PLAY CONTAINS. SELDOM, IF EVER, has a play of this calibre achieved the remarkable success that has been accorded this remarkable dramatic story.
