S. Lamley I?' . Jtepnblican candidate for the nomination 1/ Of state's attorney of McHenry connty, la meeting with gratifying assurance of support in his campaign thus far. Mr. Lumley is a McHenry county young man whose entire life has been fussed in this connty. He wa6 born in the town of McHenry, near Ringwood, « in 1867. His education was acquired in f fee schools of the connty and later in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he graduated | .from the law department of the univer- • Blty in 1889 with high honors. Shortly e» ' thereafter he took up the practice of his profession at Woodstock, forming a v- partnership with the late Judge T. D. Murphy, which continued until the lat ter 's death. Except for a brief time as TTrpartuer of <3h*j. W. Field, Mr. Lamley . Jjp»« JMnee practiced alone and has built Hp a large and profitable business. In 1896 Mr. Lumley was nominated for state's attorney and for four years held the office, during which time his lability as prosecutor was recognized and he was regarded as one of the ablest ^ Mate's attorneys McHenry connty has ever had. ;-v In his present canvass to obtain the ; office he held for four years he is meet- • lag with m&ny evidences of friendship from those who feel that he is entitled to another term and from those who know his ability as a successful trial lawyer and desire to aid him at this time. This opportunity will be afforded in the primaries on Aug. 8, when every voter will have a chance to express his choice for every elective office to be filled at the general election next November. In giving your aid to Mr. Lumley for f gate's attorney yon will be helping a deserving and competent young attor ney, one who is in every way well qual ified to discharge the duties of the office for which he is a candidate, for fonr fears in the office demonstrated his abil ity and the experience since acquired haft added to bin otherwise good qualify , cations for the office. Mead of this place, with whom she has made her home dnring the past four years, passed the ninety-first milestone of her life's journey. The event was not particularly commemorated, but still many of the elderly woman's friends very pleasantly reminded her of the day by sending in Bmall remem brances. Mrs. Kennedy appeared to en joy the day as much as a person of many years younger would. Her fam ily history as related by her, covering a period of possibly eighty years, was one of the astonishments of the day, her mental faculties being as clear as ever Another surprising fact connected with this grand old woman is that she en joys the daily papers, which she reads every day with the greatest of interest May she live to celebrate the century mark is our wish. !SL Twelfth Wedding Ann iversary.
