Vyci ta lV in base burne rs at Adv The board of supervisors of Lake county expect to make thousands of dol lars for the county from i ts swamp lands and when the commit tee on swamp lands sends in i ts report on the amount of land and the plats of i t to the board, a commit tee wil l be appoint­ ed to look af ter the sale of i t . This commit tee wil l arrange a schedule of pr ices of the different sect ions of land. Accoi-ding to the supervisors resid­ ing in that sect ion of the county the land on the average is worth a t least 120 an acre at the minimum which would place i ts value a t approximately $274. .VW.MO, which is more than a quar­ ter of a mil l ion of dol lars . If a drain­ age system were instal led i t i s s ta ted that the land would br ing more than *.">00.000. The report of the commit tee wil l show that there are 7 .07 acres of government land not patented and ti .OtiH acres of land belonging to the county under the swamp lands act . making ' a total of l . Supervisor Kdwards of the commit­ tee s ta ted: " I have been f ight ing against the work of se l l ing this land at the small pr ice for the past ten years and I th ink we have now accomplished a t ine piece of work for the county. Some of the land is worthless , but the greater par t of i t has a great value.
