The last dance to be held until after Lent will take p^ace at Smith's halt here next Monday evening, Feb. 3. Nett's orchestra will furnish the music. A number of our young men have interested themselves in the wrestlhi» game. They are planning to raak« a ttip to McHenry next Saturday ev iv ing to witness the bouts at the River side House. They also want to stage a show of this nature here some time in the future. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klapperich cel ebrated the 2;"»th anniversary of their wedlock las)«*Saturday, Jan. 25. The children's choir of St. John's church is accomplishing more and more every day under Father Ber- thold's able hand. The requiem mass es according to the reformed plain chant ordered by our sovereign pontif. when rendered hy an organized com pany of children, make a profound im pression. With a few minutes' re hearsal every day progress creeps along slowly but surely. Every child loves to sing and it's nice to give them a chance to learn. The Catholic Order of Foresters iu Johnsburg know what to do when they want a jollification. A prettier gath ering was seldom seen in the parish hall than met there last week Tues day evenihg. Forester friends from Chicago and McHenry were there. Wives and sweetheart^ who had the Vrivilege to get in say \it was unique and full of fun. Old time dances never seen before by many were a brilliant feature of the evening. Join the C O. F. You'll never be sorry. RINti WOOD.
