Freund on Wednesday evening, July 29, when a large company of relatives and friends gathered at that place to remind their daughter, Christine, that it was the anniversary of her eigh teenth birthday. Altho totally un aware of what was about to happen, the victim soon overcame the shock that usually accompanies such events and before many minutes had passed everyone present was beinjg enter tained to their hearts' content. Music, singing and various games were in dulged in, while at an appropriate hour refreshments were served. The guests left a beautiful gold watch for their amiable hostess as a kind re membrance of the occasion <ae well as a token of esteem. Chicago ft North-Wtfrtorn. Ohtci _ •7.00 am..
