Jacob Schaefer has purchased one acre of land of his brother, Joe, and one acre of Peter Niesen. The land is situated on May avenue and has a river frontage. It has already been surveyed and laid into lots, which Mr. Schaefer is now pffering for sale. We are told that he has already sold one of the lots, . v The winners of the P. Schoenhoef- en prize at the masquerade dance, held at Smith's hall on Wednesday evening of last week, enjoyed a social gathering at S. H- Smith's on Satur­ day evening.
