Lonergan will occupy the pulpit in St. Mary's church. Exchanging courtesies with the pastor of St. Mary's, who will take charge of Cary and Algonquin for one Sunday, Father Lonergan will be free to take both masses at 8:00 and 10:30 and give an interesting instruc tion on the subject of mixed mar riages. Several new decrees are in force now and every one should be familiar with their import. For all people, both married and especially those contemplating marriage. Father Lonergan's talk next Sunday will, be very opportune. Ushers will be on duty to assign seats to ttiose who have no pews. Cemetery lot owners are requested to take a last notice to remit ceme tery dues to John Kennebeck for up keep before the year elopes. This is positive debt and should be re spected as such. St. Mary's cemetery never had a better appearance. Keep this good work up, because it gives lot a bigger value. Dec. 23 the cemetery report goes into the printer of the Parish' Monthly. Act quickly and get your name oil the secretary's list. Erma Lauer, organist ami choir conductor, is accomplishing splendid results in school. School children are learning Christmas carols and will make use of them during the holidays. St. Nicholas made his ap pearance last Wednesday and distrib uted candy to the pupils. Rehearsals are going on steadily for the oratoria to be given in St. Mary's church. Father Lonergan is taking an active part and is proving a powerful help to the tenors. Mr. Frett and Carl Bickler are augment ing the basses. Rehearsals every Tuesday and Friday. M. E. Church Notes that on the first and third Sundays of each month the pas tor preaches at 3:00 p. m. Also that every Sunday at 2:00 o'clock occurs session of a most interesting Sun day school. Friday evening of every week at 7:30 o'clock is song service and short lecture or sermon. These occasions are a source of profit and pleasure to all who attend and the pastor would be glad if a larger number would avail themselves of this night ser vice. vice is attracting goodly congrega-. tions. When the people get the dates of this service fixed in their minds it is expected that more will turn out. Remember, the first and third Sun-; days of each month. It is unfortunate that the £mall membership of the M. E. church pre cludes the possibility of a resident pastor. This handicap can be over come, however, if the large number of those who believe in the church and its cause will show by their at tendance and support that they ap preciate "the value of Methodism to the community. Let all t>f these at tend the regular services. WiU Go to France Joseph Haas, Wauconda's justice and real estate man, is making prep arations for a trip to France. He will be accompanied by his wife arid son. The trip will be made for the purpose of bringing to Wauconda Mr. Haas' twenty-year-old daughter, who has made her home with her grandmother in France during the. past ten years. The young lady went to France soon after the death of her mother, Mr. Haas' first, wife. The fact that the girl's .grandmother died a short time ago prompted her father's contemplated long and .dan gerous trip. 18 Days Until Christmas Remember, we are expecting you to visit the gift store of N.
