All specimens will be | judged by comparison. ^o . Cards or Distinguishing Marks i .Allowed on Exhibits Rule No. 10. No cards or adver­ tising matter will be allowed on any cage where birds are in competition unfil awards are made, but the asso­ ciation insists that, all specimens must be .-banded and band number given on entry sheet. Rules For Judging 11 Rule No. 11. The judges on poul­ try will be governed by the latest re­ vised American Standard of Perfec­ tion in class admitted to the Stand­ ard and the Club Standards for such s breeds or varieties as are not recog- t n'7 id by the Standard, and will be instructed to disqualify any speci- i men or pen they may I detect as hav­ ing been tampered or improperly ^ dealt with. The judges will be empow­ ered to withhold a prize when, in *their opinion, the specimen or speci­ mens are not of sufficient merit. Tickets of Admission I Rule No. 12. Season tickets will be issued free of charge to all ex­ hibitors Whose fees amount to $2.00 lor more. These tickets are not transferable, and will be taken up if found in hands of others than to 'whom issued. Display Advertising Rule No. IS. Exhibitors will be allov^d to place their cards on copps occupied by their stock after the -s awards have been made, but in such • manner as not to obstruct the view or in, any way interfere with the rights of other exhibitors. Medals, Ribbons and Cups Rule No. 14. The premiums shall be designated by handsome silk rib- bons properly lettered. First pre­ mium, blue; second , premium, red; third premium* white; fourth pre­ mium, green. Ribbons will be mailed to exhibitors. Premium cards of the same color as ribbons will be placed upon all cages as soon as awards aj*e. 'made. How Special Displays are Awarded Rule No. 15. All display specials offered by the association for indi­ viduals, unless otherwise designated, will be awarded for the largest and best exhibit in their respective class and the awards will be made in. the following manner: First, to count 5 points; seconds, to count 4; third, to count 3; fourth, to count 2; pens, doubles or singles. All Varieties Rule No. 16. Classes will be pro­ vided and premiums paid on non­ standard varieties 'the same as on standard varieties. The association desires to encourge the exhibition of all worthy fowls, whether admitted to the Standard or not, and the pres­ tige gained by exhibiting in this show is of great value to the breeder and should not be overlooked. Protests Rule No. 17. All protests must be made in writing and addressed to the secretary of the association by 12:00 o'clock, noon, the third day of the show. A deposit^ of $5.00 must ac­ company all protests as a guarantee of good faith. This deposit will be refunded if protest is sustained, but will be retained by the association if protest is not sustained. The Mc- Henry Poultry, Pet Stock and Grain association has selected what they believe to be the best judges in this country for the respective class to be assigned them. Rule No. 18. Exhibitors naust furnish their own coops when possi­ ble to do so, as the association has only sixty coops tow rent at 25 cents per coop. Each coop t will Accommo­ date two birds. The association will feed and care for all birds*^ ani- jmals. ****': Premiums and Award® Cups--Important Rule Competing for best display cups, special cups and cash specials, there must be at least two (2) exhibitors showing eight (8) or more single birds and at least one (1) or more pens, in their respective classes. Ex­ ample: Barred Rocks compete against Barred Rocks, etc. Each cup will be tagged before the exhibition starts and the winner will know at once after the judging is done, what cup he or she won.
