Owen has been quite sick the past week, but is now reported much better. John Bonslett started on Monday morning for Valparaiso, Ind., where he will attend school. Wm, Covill, who lives just east of this village, met with a fall on Mon­ day, injuring his back quite severely. Henry Poile and wife are moving here from Waukegan. They will oc­ cupy the house one door west of Lawlus' store. Miss Mary Block returned from Woodstock Monday evening, where she has been for the past week tak­ ing care for her sisster who was sick. The many friends of Mrs. R. K. Todd will be pained to learn that she died at her home in Woodstock last Wednesday after a short illness. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at two o'clock. On Sunday and Monday several inches more snow fell and we are now enjoying good sleighing in this section. Good snug winter weather this time of year is better for health as Well as business. Thomas Kimball, while coming down the river with a team Monday evening, broke thru the ice and him­ self and team both took a cold bath A. L.
