Bassett has handed in a sweater, a dozen knit sponges and two hospital shirts. Her work is also •very creditable. Mrs. M. G. Shipton will attend a meeting of the local chapter as soon as possible to arrange an appointment with her. ' The meeting Friday evening was postponed because nobody knew where the key was to be found. Next time please leave it with one of the committees in charge. It has been suggested that ama­ teur knitters bring their work in the afternoo'n as the instructors, do not feel equal to the strain of being in attendance both meetings. Grandma Parker proved herself a mos£ enthusiastic worker in the local branch when she turned in five pairs of knitted wristlets on Friday. The auto show is becoming & bigger and better show. This year will see a larger number of new model cars than ever shown" here in years past. Farm implement dealers thruout the county are alive and on the job and this space will be well taken up. Fred G. Bosshard, of the Woodstock Implement company, has charge of this department. The manufacturer's building is go­ ing to be filled up to the limit this year and many new lines of merchan­ dise will be displayed. Don't mention winter yet, but the ladies will all be interested in the fall wraps and gowns to be shown. George Moore, of the People's Supply company, is superin­ tendent of this building. Mrs. George J. Miller is in charge of the woman's building and she, re­ ports her assistants are working hard for their respective exhibits. The live stock show will be up to standard and many very prominent breeders will be contesting for the blue ribbon in the horse, cattle, swine and sheep departments again this year.
