The city aldermen, with Mayor Frett presiding, met Monday evening to complete the unfinished business of the adjourned meeting of Apr. 20th. Motion by Knox, seconded by Kreutzer, that Kent and Co. be given permission to erect a garage and filling station on what is known as the State Highway No. 20 west of the Wegner property. Motion carried. Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Knox, that the light be removed from the private property to the extension of Hiird street. Motion carried. Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Frisby, that the property owners in Lake View engage the services of a surveyor, at no expense to the city to establish a grade, said grade line to meet with the approval of the street and alley and sidewalk committees. Motion carried. Motion by Doherty, seconded by Frisby, that Math Niesen's appointmerit as Supt. of the water wd •ewer for the year 1928-29, at a salary of $50 per month, b# accepted Motion carried. Motion by Doherty, seconded by "Frisby, that H. L. Cowlin's appointment as city attorney at a salary of $200 per year be accepted by city council. Motion carried. Klontz, Ben Brefeld and John Bonslett on the Board of Health be accepted as read. Motion carried.
