Miss Emma Swan, d i s t r i c t c o m m i t t t e - w o m a n , a s s i s t e d by Miss Agnes Jensen, installed the of ficers for the coming year. The officers installed were: President--Mrs. Alice Beavis. First Vice-president--Agnes Sch»< fer. •' Second Vice-president--Anna Hoard. Historian--Dorothy Adams. Secretary and Treasurer--Varina Marshall. Publicity--Eleanor AlthofF. Miss Swan and Miss Jensen g*w very interesting talks and said that every woman elegible to join should belong to the Auxiliary for the great good they are doing in assisting the unfortunate soldiers. Altar and Rosary Party List property with Dan Quinlan. } The Altar and Rosary Sodality of St. Patrick's church sponsored a public card party at the church hall Sunday evening. Cards were played and prizes were won by Jacob Thies, Mrs. M. A. Sutton, Eleanor Kinsala and Jean Powers. Plans were made to serve a supper at the church on Thursday, Oct. 9, at five o'colck and it was decided to advertise it well so that the public would respond and enjoy a delicious meal. On Wednesday afternoon of this week they met at the home of Mrs. H. A. Asmalsky. Bridge was played and prizes were won by Mrs. J. R. Smith and Mrs. Martha Page.
