A faulty cartridge in a gun held by a youthful bandit saved the life of Mrs. Frank Young of Lake Zurich, wife of the proprietor of the Oozy Inn. At 9:3C^ o'clock Sunday night of last week, while the nsual heavy traffic was pouring along, two cars drove up in front of the building. One of the men in the second car got out and stepped into the restaurant. As Mrs. Young started toward the door to wait on him, the youth, apparently about 20 years of age, pulled a gun from his pocket and ordered her to "stick 'em up." She obeyed and invited the young bandit to "help himself" from the cash register. The youth paused and as Mfs. Young i stepped back slightly, he commanded | her to halt and as she moved again, he pulled the trigger of the gun he leveled at her. A click was the only response. Mrs. Young screamed and ran from the building and the youth quickly went out the front door and the two autos sped. away- After reentering the place it was noticed that the bandit did not take a thing.
