CLAUDE E. DAVIS Claud Edgar Davis was born at Colfax, 111., on April 11, 1883, and departed this life at his home at Iroquois, 111 , on December 1, 1931, at the age of 48 years, ? months and 20 days. While stjll under age he ran away from home and enlisted in the United States army. After serving one term he lived for, several years in the New England states before returning to his home. He married Rachel Fuller in June, 1918, and to this union were born two children, Marjorie and PauL In June, 1929, he was again married to Mrs. Letah Page Thomas. For the past fifteen years Mr. Davis was engaged in telephone work and aside from a few years in, Wisconsin he worked at LeRoy and Paxton. Just one year prior to the day of his death' Mr. Davis went to Iroquois and assumed change ot the local tele-r phone system, Fraternally he was a member of the !• F. E. church last Thursday under the auspices of the Ladies' Aid society, was a grand success, with a large crowd in attendance at the dinner and supper and all of the bazaar articles sold.
