Pox Lake appeared short several players and the subs on the McHenry lireup filled in for the visitors. Carl Thorsell, the centerfielder for the Locals, played a stellar gamo for Fox Lake and made three hits oft Spots Thurlwell's delivery to take the spotlight. With the makeshift lineups lending a careless air to the game Spots started out carelessly and allowed the firstthree men to hit safely but two men v.ere thrown out at the plate by TT. Leo Freund, also a southpaw, pitched for Johnsburg and turned in a very impressive" performance " considering that this was his first game that he pitched the full nine innings. His teammates gave him very poor support, both in defense and offense. Woodstock collected five runs in the first five innings while Johnsburg failed to tally. The report of the committe was approved by the county board Tuesday morning. Of the 53 licenses only 12 were Class B licenses which is $25. The ether 41 are for Class A licenses. The committee has inspected all of these places and has recommended to County Clrk Raymond D. Woods to issue licenses to same.. The licenses have been issued. J. G. Stevens, chairman of the committee says the work of the committee i3 not yet finished and there are a number of other places to be inspected.
