The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. I. Schweitzer. The Levees have been residents of this vicinity for several years, owning a home in the Huemann subdivision north of McHenry. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father in a gown of white lace and net, under a satin redingote with a long train. A tiara, which recalled the style of Queen Mary of ! Scots, held in place a veil which conj tained five yards of tulle. Her casj cading bridal bouquet contained white i mums. She also wore a string of baby | pearls, a gift of the groom. Miss Grace Och of Chicago assisted i as the maid of honor in a gown of J aqua blue taffeta. She, as well as the | two bridesmaids, carried cascading J bouquets of yellow mums, and each wore several mums in their hair. The bridesmaids, Mrs. James Hoyte of McHenry and Miss Frances Schnackie of Chicago, were clad alike in poudre blue taffeta gowns. All three dresses were fashioned similar to the gown worn by the bride. Little Diane Hansen of Chicago served as flower girl. Her dress was of peach taffeta and she carried a basket of flowers. The bride presented her attendants with Cloisenne lockets. Walter Ijevee, a brother of the bride, acted as best man, while James Hoyte of McHenry and Harry Reemer, Jr., of Chicago were also Included in the bridal party. The ushers were George Levee and Glenn Reemer. All looked their best in tuxedos. William Manthei offered his vocal interpretations of "God's Greatest Gift" and "Because." The immediate families were served a wedding dinner at Norden hall in Chicago. Thisjjyas followed by a reception for three hundred guests. As the five-tiered, square layer cake, topped by modern statuettes of a bride and groom was brought into the hall, announcement was made that this day also happened to be the thirty-first wedding an&ivtersary of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Levee, the bride's parents. .
