For the second year in a row,,the Rod and Gun club will sponsor a carnival which will run three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 12, 13 and 14. There are some wonderful prises offered, including a Kelvinator refrigerator, a 12-guage pump gun, a fly rod and automatic reel, and a case of 12- guage No. 6 shells. There will be swimming races and boat races, and all sorts of fun. Be sure *nd mark your calendar. - The Ringwood Unit of the Home Bureau met this week at the home of Mrs JMmon on Route 120. It weighed more than four pounds and was large enough to feed six. A thrill that really comes but once in a lifetime! We are going to try and get a copy of the picture of that bass to run in the column just to show folks what a really big game fish looks like. The Wonder Lake Gospel club will be known hereafter as the Wonder Lake Gospel Center. Apparently there were persons who thought that the word "club" excluded the publci, and that was never the intention of the sponsors. After a general discussion it was decided that perhaps "Center" would be a more appropriate word. The Center is non-sectarian, and is open to all who Would like to come and hear stories, of the gospel, to sing and to pray together. It is with deep regret that I report that the infant daughter born to Mr. nad Mrs. Fred Chase on Sunday morning', did not survive. The many friends of the young couple are grief-stricken for tnem over the loss of their first-born.
