Spcci*l March Meeting, " 1947 •* The Honorable Board of Supervisor* of McHfnry County met in special session pursuant to a call signed by more than one-third of its members at the Court House in the City of Woodstock on Tuesday, the Uth day of March, A. D. 1947 at 10 o'clock A. M. . The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Frank R Beck, and the Pledge Of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America wax ' given bv the Chairman with all members of the Hoard and visitors present participating. The Chairman addressed the# Board and stated that he wished at tnis time to compliment the Building Coltimittee for the fine job they have done" In the remodeling of the'Supervisors' room, and even though the cost was a little more than was anticipated, he fell that the improvement was a credit to the Board and people of McHenry County. He also complimented the Committee for the improvements in the Sheriff's residence and also for the remodeling work that hi being done and nearly completed in the Circuit Court Room, Judge's Chamber anil Law. Library. The Chairman addressed the Board further and stated that a guest of the Board was present frOan the Township of Dunham. He then Introduced Mrs. Carl Wittmus, wife of the Supervisor of said Township. The minutes of the Special February, 1947 meeting were read and on motion approved and ordererd of record. The following report of the County Treasurer for the month of February, 1847 was presented and read and upon motion of Supr. Harrison and duly seconded by Supr. Schmitt that the report be approved and that the Resolution authorising the issuance of Tax Anticipation Warrants be approved and adopted by this Board, and the roll being called, Suprs. Ruth, Wittmus, Coy, Carroll. Kuecker. Acknian, Mackeben, Nolan, Harrison, McConnell, May, Schmitt, Meier ahd Filip and Asst. Suprs. Maxwell and McConnell voted aye. Nay none. The Chairman declared the motion unanimously c&rried, the report approved and the Resolution ' approved and adopted. , The Committee on Rortds and Bridges presented the following report, which on motion of Supr. Ackman and duly Seconded by Asst. Supr. Bertram of Crystal Lake, Illinois, the Mfttrctif soffioer under the McHenry County, Illinois Zoning Ordinance, who is now Retired anad that he. would recommend the appointment and would appoint George F. Jedlicka of R. R. 1, Crystal Lake, Illinois, to fill the yacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Bertram as enforcing officer, and that the County Clerk be instructed to notify Mr. Jedlicka of his appointment and that the matter of proper compensation for his services be referrerd to the Fees and Salaries Committee of this Board duly made and carried, was referred t# the Committee on Fees and Salaries fof report. £ \ Supr. The following Annual Report of the County Treasurer for the year 1946, showing the approval of the Committee to Settle With the Treasurer, was presented and read to the Board to-wit: (Copy on file in County Clerk's office.) Kuecker, Chairman of the Road and Bridge Committee and asked Mr. Kuecker if his Committee had anything further to report with regard to the Federal Aid Secondary Maintenance Resolution Resolution and Agreement by County to Maintain Highways Improved on Federal Aid Secondary Road Xo. 17, commonly known .as the Paine's Hill Road, that was referred to his Committee at the February meeting.
