The bride's attendants were Miss Eileen Smith, the groom's sister, as maid of honor, Miss Martha Lee Aaron of Miami, Fla., and Miss Shirley Patzke of McHenry, friends. All wore Nile green taffeta floor length gowns trimmed in net. In matching green were their long mitts and crownless tricorns, and they carried wreath-shaped bouquets of yellow rosebuds. John Rogers, a friend of the groom, served as best hian, While Vernon Kramer, the bride's brother, was groomsman. Mrs. Kramer chose for her daughters wedding a grey print dress ahd black accessories and wore a corsage of white roses. Mrs. Smith was attired in a blush pink dress, with navy and white accessories, and a similar corsage. Following the service, 100 guests were present in the Kramer home between, 5 and 9 p. m. to enjoy a buffet luncheon and reception. The couple left later on a trip to the Smoky Mountains, after which they will reside in ihe upper apartment in the Pries home on Elm street. The new bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1945 and has been employed at the McHenry telephone office. The bridegroom graduated in 1944 and is at present employed at Fitzgerald's Mrs. Frank Justen, in Chowchilla. Mrs. Clinton Martin visited her son, Charles, in Urbana last Saturday and Sunday. Among those who attended the wake of Fritz Fenske in Chicago last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heide and daughter, Shirley, Mr. and Mrs. "Bud" Kraus, Mr. and Mrs. James Larkin, Mrs. M. A. GEORGE SIMES, NATIVE OF LAKB COUNTY, IS DEAD Local' residents this week mourned the death of George Simes, 94, who died on Sunday, May 2, 1948, at the farm home of his son, Henry, east of Hebron, where hie had lived for twenty-five years. He was a native <)f1 Lake county, where he was born on Nov. 8, 1855. His parents, John and Margaret Simes, settled there in the early 1830's. He had lived in Hebron Townshiip for fifty years. He was the youngest in his family and the last survivor. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Heisler of Crystal (Lake, Mrs. Frank Schroeder of Hebron, and two sons, Arthur and Henry of Hebron; twenty grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. He was an" uncle tk George Lindsay of McHenry. Funeral services were held m Tuesday at the home of his son at 1:30 p. m. and at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran church, with Rev. L. C.
