FOLLOW IK NEW YEAR F L O RS HJE I'M jF'-tt-'iv SHOES 'f God blesses each of us for the good which "we do for others, and surely He must also reward His creatures for the unusual qualities they sometimes possess. No more opportune time than Christmas could there be for the dog who was found on Monday morning of this week -still keeping vigil at the side of another dog who was killed sometime before last Friday. Henry Aissen, a farmer residing south of Woodstock, first noticed the dead dog that day and its companion who was keeping watch. Monday the dog was still there, although it ran into a nearby field when a reporter for a eounty paper.approached the scene. A cold wind blew across an open eornfield and a drifting snow covered the faithful dog as it sat shivering in the road. Several times during the weekend Mr. Aissen had passed the scene and each time the dog was still there. He said if the dog should resume his vigil aftef reporters left, he would make sotnia effort to provide food. Saeh loyalty might well be imitated by those of us who call our* selves Good Samaritans. Only a dog, but worthy to set an example for the New Year which we would do wall to emulate.. c.V;:T. . NOTICE ' All farmers!
