Sot lined up on their 1949 projects. Almost all tfee^elubs in McHenry countyhaTe dMes set to get start- It looks like oar seventeen clqbs will averse almost twenty members. We have no Indication of any new groups starting this year, bat If there are we will be more than glad to get them started. A standard 4-H club requires at least five members, between the ages of 10 and 21, with the same type of project and an adult leader. The Farm Bureau, sponsor of the program, furnishes the materials, guidance, prise money for the county show, and everything making « yraft rounded pvosram, possU ble. Something might be laid here about leaders. I have been asked whj*t are the qualidcatlons of a 4-H club leader. I dent know, but my answer usually is, "Any adult person who has ,a 'profound Interest in farm toys and girls and who is willing to spend some time wUh them without thought of material return. I have never had a 4-H leader tell me that they didn't get more out of the experience than the kids in the club did. I'm sure there is a difference in what the club members get out of the club. Part of this Is due possibly to the leader, but most of It is due to the encouragement given the club member at home. The difference between school and 4-H is that in 4-H .club, the member learns to do by doing right BOOKKEEPING and TAX SERVICE Records Installed and Maintained '!
