No. 3#. has a population of over 1,000 and that a board of education be elected. This board will consist of a president and sis memebrs to serve terms of one, two and three years. In this election there will be no nominations from the floor since all candidates must file their petitions at least twenty-one days prior to election. Petitions may be secured from Mrs. Alice Noren and must be turned back to Mrs. Noren pot later than midnight, March 19. , Voter's League Nominates Officers To Be Elected In AprB OPEN LETTER TO THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE OP THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS: Last month the nominating commitee of the League was to meet on February 27, but due to a conflict with a meeting being held in Woodstock that evening, the meeting was put over until the first Thursday in March, but SOMEHOW on the card, it got written down for the 10th of March which is the date of the regular meeting of the League. Then, on Sunday afternoon, with four of the members of the committee Accidentally together, they chose a slate to have ready by the meeting of the 10th and hoped that the other members would agree or have some additions in -mind for nominations from the floor. Auxiliary Of Rod A Gan Clah Votes to Reorgaalie The Rod and Gun ing was held on Friday at the home of Mrs. Louise Scott, secretary of the organisation. There were 36 present to vote on whether or not the group would pull away from the Rod and Gun Club and reorganize and a majority of those present voted to follow this procedure. The reorganisation will be under a separate charter. However, since there are many legal steps that must be taken before any such reorganization could take place, the club will continue to function in the usual manner until legal advice has been secured and reported on to the membership. If everyone who donated to the fund will just drop a penny postcard, to Jim and tell him what you want done. Should it be donated to some worthy charity, and if so, to which one? If these people are not heard from within the next thirty days, the committee wilt take steps on their own to dispose of the fund. Drop Jim a card with your vote on it so that it will count. In last week's .paper, tt Watf reported that no funds had come in from Wonder Lake on the polio drive. The chairman for the drive, E. E. They have been living, until recently, in Joliet--Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Frost of McCullom Lake have another little son, who is another grandson for Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frost of Wonder Lake--The new subdivision across the Lake, White Oaks, now has ten homes built there with more being planned as soon aB Spring comes--* the Wonder Woods Wheeze, % nice little sheet gotten up by Mrs. Ruth Woodward and B. M. DeMoraes, hat been distributed among the resi dents of that subdivision. It's 4 honey--the annual picnic of the Wooded Shores subdivision will be held on August 6 and 7. Every*' one mark their calendars and all subdivisions take note and maybe we won't have conflicts this year-- The A1 Kreugers of Lookout Point have moved back into their little home after being flooded out at 3:00 a. m. one day last week. The Schau and Henthorne family was also flooded out in the big thaw- Mrs. Velma Sinclair and small Sharon returned from the East Saturday--while in New Jersey, they visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Carman, former residents of Wonder Lake--Baby Virginia Kauss of Shore Hills Is in a Chicago hospital where she was rushed last Saturday after she had sucked a bobby pin into her bronchial tubes--The Handy Helpers 4-H Club m?t on Tuesday evening with tweive liUle girls, ten years of age or more, signing as members. They have voted to sew. They are led by Mrs. Elizabeth Selsdorf -- Hear that the Nielsens of Wonder Center are battling scarlet fever-- Mae and Jerry Kubovy were back through here on their way home from Florida. They had put 5500 miles on the new Oldsmobile. They flew to Cuba though, via regular plane. The Olds is good, but not THAT good--Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bloom are new residents of Indian Ridge. Mr. Bloom lis the WAF driver who takes the children to school--Leo Peterson of Wonder Center is recovering from a bout with pneumonia as is former resident Mrs. Irene Benwell of rural Woodstock-- Plan To Balld The board of directors of the Wonder Lake Rod and Gun Club met at William Silk's store In Wonder Center on Sunday morning, and, after the meeting went down to their grounds and measured off for the bulldlhg they hope to Hfl up some-time this spring. Don't forget the bake sale at Christ the King church on March 19. The sale will start at 10:00 a. m, and continue through until 5:M p. m. The Altar and Rosary Society meets tonight (Thursday).
